The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank helps locate all nearby food banks. They partner with approximately 500 nonprofits to provide food to individuals and families throughout San Diego County.
abundant grace christian center
Abundant Grace Christian is a community center that serves San Diego City Heights neighbors, concentration of immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers - no documents required. Food is also available by appointment! Open 8am-1pm on Wednesdays and Sundays.
church of the nazarene in mid-city
Church of the Nazarene in Mid City provides a variety of food to those who are in need through partnerships with local businesses and grocers. They organize the food distribution by an appointment system. Their hours are: Tuesday: 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM and Saturday: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM.
SNAP
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is a federal program that provides nutrition benefits to low-income individuals and families that are used at stores to purchase food. The program is administered by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) through its nationwide network of FNS field offices. Local FNS field offices are responsible for the licensing and monitoring of retail food stores participating in SNAP.

Safe harbors network
“The Welcome Home”, located next to Christ Ministry Center (CMC), is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath 1,750 sq. ft. home with detached garage on a corner lot. It is a former parsonage owned by CMC but rented out for the past 20 years. The Welcome Home provides 16-18 beds in a residence. Migrants have access to our food pantry, clothes closet, free medical clinics, spiritual support from one of our 10 congregations and new counseling center, and care provided by our Immigration Manager. Through our partnership with International Rescue Committee (IRC), each of our refugee clients receive case work. And through the local American Bar Association
Rapid response network
The San Diego Rapid Response Network is a partnership with Jewish Family Service of San Diego which provides asylum seekers in need of respite shelter with a comprehensive set of services, which include critical case management, travel assistance, nutrition services, medical screenings, legal assistance, and financial support.
Alliance for african assistance
The Alliance for African Assistance provides comprehensive resettlement services to refugees from over 30 countries. Refugees will work with a case manager, who will initially help them find an affordable apartment, which will be furnished with basic necessities and include a stocked kitchen. They case manager will also help them become situated in the United States and ensure their long success.

The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
Center for community Counseling (SDSU)
Center for Community Counseling (SDSU) offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Group topics change based on community need. Current group: support for Latina women (in Spanish). Local residents may qualify for in-home services via Community Wellness Response Team (CWRT). Fees are income-based sliding scale. Group fees range from $2-$20/session. Services available in Spanish & other languages (based on therapists available). Monday-Thursday 9:00am-8:00pm, Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.
La maestra community health centers
La Maestra Community Health Centers
provides services to all clients seeking family planning or related health and wellness services. Services are rendered without respect to durational residency or physician referral: Durational residency, citizenship, or immigration status are not prerequisites to receive services. Eligibility is not determined by durational residency, citizenship, or immigration status. This practice serves all patients regardless of inability to pay.

The legal aspects of immigration can be challenging to navigate and Alliance provides a comprehensive set of immigration services to help refugees ease their transition into the United States. Their staff is bilingual and will ensure that you are informed of how you can protect your rights.
REfugee cash assistance
Through the California Department of Social Services, RCA provides direct cash assistance to refugees who may not otherwise be eligible for aid. They will also assist you with employment and whatever else will help you become self sufficient.
