COVID 19

August 2021: We will resume our in-person meetings and return to our regular weekly schedule before the Pandemic. In-person tutoring will be in lieu of Zoom tutoring

August 2020: We will resume our in-person meetings on Saturday, August 23, at Colina Del Sol Park. During this time, we will distribute school supplies to our refugee families to get them ready for the 2020-2021 school year. Everyone attending must abide by the social distancing rule and wear a mask. We will continue with Zoom tutoring for those that wish to continue.

May 2020: We will also be providing groceries and other basic necessities to struggling families in need of assistance during the pandemic.

March 13, 2020: In response to recent public health concerns surrounding COVID 19, all in-person tutoring has been suspended until further notice. Nova Spero recognizes the importance of following the precautionary measures adopted by the State of California. To minimize the impact of COVID 19 on our families, we will be switching all tutoring over to Zoom. As of May, our tutors provide virtual tutoring to over 20+ impacted youth of City Heights. We have partnered with Hope Leadership Academy to provide further virtual tutoring options to impacted youths.
